After the latest Bedrock update, the average transaction fee in the Optimism L2 network has decreased by 56%, dropping from $0.57 to just $0.16, according to the report on the Dune dashboard.

Over the past few days, users have managed to save almost $150,000 on gas fees.

This significant reduction in fees in the Optimism network is associated with a general decrease in gas prices in the Ethereum mainnet. Currently, the average gas cost is around 30 Gwei.

Today, Optimism stands as one of the most cost-effective Layer 2 networks in terms of fees. In the L2Fees ranking, it is only surpassed by Loopring and Polygon.

Data from DefiLlama indicates that the total value locked in the Optimism network has reached $865.5 million.

As a result of the Bedrock update, users of the Optimism network can now enjoy significant economic benefits by gaining access to low-cost transactions and increasing their savings. This event highlights the importance of developing innovative solutions to enhance user experience and drive the growth of decentralized financial solutions.
